Synopsis
A year after Eva went missing and resurfaced in her backyard—and which authorities chalked up to the pressures of being a single mother—she intends to relocate to another place. This decision puts strain to her relationship with her daughters, Sami and Grace, and her mother-in-law, Nancy. After a very heated family supper, Eva again disappears. Sami occupies her mother’s seat in a world where there is no space for who she will lose a reward only knowledge. Sami looks like an insurgent who waits to face Nancy and the police.[8] Then Eva comes again escaping leaving the country with Sami missing. Seeking help desperate to finish quickly Sami asks Dane a next-door neighborhood for help, the few when all others had stood firmly disbelieving Eva.

“Who Kidnapped My Mom?” investigates the issues of family bonds, the nature of trauma, as well as how far someone would go to defend their family. The story embodies the struggle of persuading people about one’s reality while having people doubt such reality, and sometimes even people closest to you. The actors, especially Lucie Guest and Jordan Zavisha do a great job at portraying the bond between the mother and daughter and do a very convincing job of this, earning the sympathy of the audience.

The movie highlights the perennial problem of law enforcement agencies turning a blind eye towards abduction cases, particularly where the victim is in an unfavorable position because of her/his background.
