Plot Overview

The humor begins when Alejo, Tano, Lucas and Pascual go to a seaside resort armed with an email from a fictitious Mr. Johnston ordering them to appear in front of him, and hope for the best. It is these four lifelong buddies who are expected to guard 4000 bitcoins belonging to Mr. Johnston, therefore it is extremely nauseating for the four friends to rest on the clara, albeit it is Daphne, whose original father was Hades and had needed quite the amount of gold. And what initially looks so easy suddenly turns out to be the easiest task of all, as they quickly start partaking in 4 way partying boasting and flaunting parade after parade in the hotel wherein even the single prettiest lady there must have been believe it or not, the crush of each man in said hotel.

Although their only ‘important’ work amidst all the thuggery is apparently helping an unknown man called ‘Smith’ – a well known British scammer currently trying to pose as a Virginian businessman, A Christmas Carol HP 32601M, and nearly eighty-five billion pounds – associated with many mares, kidnappers, and gold diggers – become the richest man in the world. As expected, chaos soon ensues in the cornerstone of every great amusement, and if penny hoarders and investigative reporters served to be the crux of this amusement, trust me, one would be hitting each bone in their own body.

The entertainment value of this film is enhanced by the quality of humor, since it would be surprising for any sane person to take this movie seriously, therefore, in addition to mixing several classic forms of comedy, this film also offers a rather bizarre critique of society’s overzealous obsession with cryptocurrencies.

Behind the Scenes

The picture is a debut for Sanabria and Villaverde as it is their first full-length comedy feature which they have directed together. The pair strikes a breezy pace for Hotel Bitcoin which is complemented by a colourful style especially due to the use of the lavish hotel premises as an element of comedy.

This screenplay, created by Sanabria and Villaverde, is also inspired by today’s global trends and includes comical talks and situational comedies. The fact that the hotel is located on the coast adds brightness and degree of distraction from reality to the film.
